Translating the Designer Interface into a Different Language

The app backend is only available in English. However, all labels displayed on the frontend, like buttons, module names, tooltips, and more, can be freely customized to any language via Global Settings > Translations — and you can maintain a separate set of labels for every language your shop sells in.

What Can Be Translated

Every text element visible to customers in the designer can be overridden: action buttons, module labels, toolbar entries, confirmation messages, and the cart "Edit" button. This also covers all texts of the product page modules — including the Texts, Layouts, and Add Elements modules and the prompt placeholder of the text-to-image generator. Built-in translations for German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, and Portuguese are included and used until you customize them. This gives you full freedom in the wording of all texts our app displays.

Labels Follow the Storefront Language

The designer automatically shows its labels in the language the shopper is browsing your storefront in — not in the language of the shopper's browser. For languages you have not customized, shoppers see the built-in translation if one is included, and your Default translations otherwise. You do not need to import any language files.

Translating Frontend Labels
  1. Go to "Global Settings" and open the "Translations" tab.
  2. Pick the language you want to edit in the "Language" selector. Click "Connect store languages" once to allow the app to read the languages your shop publishes, so the list matches exactly the languages your storefront serves.
  3. Browse the sections (Actions, Modules, Toolbar, Misc, Shopify Modules) to find the label you want to change.
  4. Click in the input field of a label and enter your translation or alternative text.
  5. Save your changes.

The updated labels appear immediately on the frontend for all visitors browsing in that language.

If You Customized Labels Before

If you already customized your translations, they are kept as the "Default" entry in the language selector and are shown to visitors in every language you have not activated. When you select another language for the first time, choose a starting point: "Activate with defaults" starts from the built-in translation, "Copy my current translations" starts from your Default labels. The "Reset" button deletes a language's stored translations again.

Translating the "Customized" Product Title Suffix

When using custom pricing with "Bundle Products" as the Custom Priced Product option, a suffix is appended to the product title for customized orders (e.g., "My T-Shirt (Customized)"). You can change this suffix to match your language and store style.

  1. Go to "Global Settings" and open the "Integration" tab.
  2. Switch to the "Custom Pricing" section.
  3. Make sure "Bundle Products" is selected as the Custom Priced Product option.
  4. Find the suffix field and enter your preferred text.
  5. Save your changes.
