Setting Up Multi-View Products
Views let you make different surfaces of a product customizable, like the front, back, and sides of a t-shirt. Each view has its own canvas, mockup image, and print area.
What Are Views?
A customization starts with one default view. You can add as many additional views as your product needs. Each view should show a different surface of the same product, not a different product variant. If you sell the same shirt in multiple colors, use separate customizations linked to Shopify variants instead. See details on this topic here.
Adding Views
- Go to the "Customizations" tab.
- Find your customization and click "Add View" on the right side of the row.
- After the new view is created, you can edit the title for the view.
- Select a thumbnail image for the view.
- Important: Click "Upload Images" before confirming. The "Confirm" button stays greyed out until the image is uploaded.
- Click "Confirm".

Designing Your Views
Open the Product Builder for your customization to design each view individually. Use the Select View option at the top right part of the Product Builder to move between views. For a full walkthrough of layers, print areas, and mockup images, see Creating a Customizable Product.

How Customers Switch Between Views
In the designer in the store frontend, a view selection sits in the bottom left or bottom right corner of the canvas. It consists of a pages-icon and the view count - for example, "1/3" - between two arrow buttons. Customers click the arrows to step through views one by one. Clicking the icon or the view count opens an overlay showing all views as thumbnails with their titles. Customers can jump directly to any view from there.
