# Sync Text Elements with Text Link Groups

### In some cases, you may want multiple text elements to stay synchronized. This means when a customer edits one text element, all linked elements update automatically.

How it works:

The **Text Link Group** option allows you to connect text elements together.
* Assign the **same group value** to every text elements you want to sync.
* As long as the elments are within the same customization, they will change together. They don't need to be in the same view.

1. Navigate to **Customizations **in the app backend
2. Click **Show Views**.
3. Click **Open in Product Builder **

1. Select **Element **you wish to edit
2. Navigate to **Text Menu**
3. Assign** Identical Value** to all text layers that require **synchronization.**
4. Don't forget to **save **the change in each view

### Text Link Group Properties

In addition to syncing content, you can also synchronize certain text properties
To enable this:

1. Navigate to **Settings > Advanced **
2. Select **Adcvanced**
3. Find **Text Link Group Properties**
4. Select **the Properties** you want to synch (e.g., font family, font size).
5. **Save Changes!**

### Keep Text Inputs Across Product Switches

Text Link Groups can also carry a customer's text over when they switch to another product.

1. Navigate to **Settings > Advanced**
2. Select **Advanced**
3. Enable **Keep text inputs through product switches**
4. Choose the **Keep text inputs - matching mode**:
* **Title** (default) — remembered text is matched by the element title; elements with a Text Link Group are matched by their group instead.
* **Link group only** — remembered text is matched strictly by the Text Link Group; elements without a group are ignored.
5. **Save Changes!**

|| Using Text Link Groups is especially useful for designs with repeating information (e.g., name on front and back of a t-shirt); customers only need to enter their text once.
