# Image Module

The module allows users to add images from their device or Pixabay to their products or create QR codes on the product.

### Step 1: Include the Image Module in your UI (Module is active by default)

1. Navigate to **Appearance > Modules**
2. Add the Images Module by drag and drop
3. **Save Changes!**

### Step 2: Adjust Settings

Now switch to **Settings > Element Properties** (or [Customization Profiles](https://fpd-doc.ganymede-apps.net/en/article/customization-profiles-tailoring-towards-the-perfect-user-experience-duwlhs/) for advanced setting structures) to adjust certain common image settings.
* **Colors:** Set available colors.
* **Image Interaction:** Set the interaction options for your customers.
* **Maximum Image Size:** Set max file size (e.g., 10 MB).
* **Bounding Box and Scaling:** Set Bounding Box Mode and Scale Mode.
Additional settings that can affect image upload can be found in Settings > Advanced.

### Step 3: External Image Source (Pixabay)

First you need to find the Pixabay setup in **Settings > Interface > Images: **

To include Pixabay images you will need a Pixabay API Key. To get a Pixabay API key, you need **a Pixabay account**. You can find your API key in the “Search Images” section of the Pixabay API docs.
Additional settings:
* **High-Res Images:** Restrict image selection to high-resolution images only.
* **Language:** Select the language used for Pixabay searches (e.g., English).

### QR-Code Settings

QR codes created with the module can be fine-tuned in **Settings > Interface > QR-Code**:
* **Transparent background:** Renders the QR code with no background fill, so the product design shows through. When enabled, the light color picker is hidden for your customers.
* **Minimum size (mm):** The smallest size (in millimeters) a customer can resize a QR code to in the designer. Resizing below the limit snaps the QR code back to the minimum and shows a short warning — this keeps the code scannable in print. Set to 0 to disable the limit.

### Keep Uploaded Images Through Product Switches

By default, customers need to re-upload their images after switching to another product or applying a different layout. To keep their uploads, enable **Keep upload zone images through product switches** in **Settings > Advanced**. When a product is switched or a layout is applied, upload zones with the same name are automatically refilled with the previously uploaded image.

### Low-Resolution Warning

If an uploaded image falls below the minimum DPI you configured (**Minimum JPEG DPI** in **Settings > Element Properties**), the designer shows a "Low resolution!" warning. Customers can dismiss the warning via its close button; it reappears when the image is resized again.
