Designs

With Fancy Product Designer, you can add and organize designs that customers can use to customize their products. You can create categories, upload your own images, or use the built-in design library.

Step 1: Access the Designs Section

Go to Resources → Designs
Here you can add a new category or edit an existing one.

Step 2: Organize Categories

In our Designs you can not only categorize the designs you want to offer to your customers, you can also organize those categories into groups creating subcategories. To do that:

Create a **main category **to group your designs (e.g., “Logos”, “Patterns”, “Icons”).
Add subcategories for better organization (e.g., under “Patterns” → “Geometric”, “Floral”). To do that create all the subcategories as normal categories first. Then you can organize them by drag and drop.

Tipp: Main Categories cannot display designs stored within them in the front end. They can only show their subcategories.

Step 3: Add Designs

You have two options:

Upload manually – Add your own custom designs.
Use the design library – Access pre-made designs with ready-to-use options.

When you are happy with the selected designs in a certain category click Save.

Step 4: See Designs in the Product Designer

Once your designs are saved, they will automatically appear in the frontend product designer for customers to use as long as the Designs Module is active in your UI. If you need help with any of this, you can always reach out to us in the in-app chat.

Use categories and subcategories to keep your design library clean and easy to browse, especially if you have a large collection.
